One room.
Three acts.
Most venues ask you to choose between a ceremony space and a reception space. Here you get both, in the same room, changed over while your guests are holding a drink and none the wiser.
The same four walls,
three different rooms.
Follow the Main Banquet through your wedding day. The capacity, the layout, and the mood change at every stage.

You walk in.
Chairs face the far end of the Main Banquet, with the disco ball dark overhead and the room at its quietest. A 65-foot curtain divider closes off the back half, hiding everything that comes next.
You are shown to the bar.
Guests move into the Lounge and the 12-foot mahogany bar while the ceremony chairs disappear behind the curtain. This is the hour that buys us the room, and the reason you never have to leave the building.
The curtain opens.
Rounds or eight-foot rectangulars, black Chiavari chairs, linens laid, centrepieces lit, and the disco ball finally earning its keep. Same room, forty minutes later, unrecognisable.
A unique space for every
type of ceremony.
In the Banquet
Rows facing the far end, curtain drawn behind.
In the Foyer
Marble underfoot, brass chandelier above.
In the Lounge
Couches, plush chairs, the bar within reach.
Two and a witness
A weekday, half a day, thirty quiet minutes.

The part you
never see.
While your guests are at the bar, our team resets the Main Banquet behind a 65-foot draped divider. Chairs out, tables in, linens laid, centrepieces lit. Then the curtain opens.
What a full day
actually looks like.
Friday and Saturday weddings run as a full-day rental, noon to midnight. Setup and breakdown happen inside that window.
Doors open to you
You and your vendors get access. Florists load in through the rear ramp, straight into the prep kitchen, well away from the front of house.
We set the room
Our team lays out the ceremony chairs, tables, linens, and any decor package to your floor plan. Your Day-of Venue Manager is on site from here to the end.
Getting ready
Hair, makeup, photographs in the Grand Entrance under the brass chandelier. The red carpet is genuinely useful here.
Ceremony
Guests seated in the Main Banquet, or in the Foyer for something smaller. Roughly 30 minutes.
Cocktail hour, and the flip
Bar opens, guests move to the Lounge, curtain closes, room changes. This is the only hour of the day we ask you to trust us completely.
Dinner and speeches
Curtain opens on the reception. Your caterer serves from the prep kitchen or the Dining Room, depending on the style you chose.
The part everyone remembers
Tables cleared to the edges, disco ball on, bar running until last call. Add hours at $400 each if midnight feels early.
We handle the rest
Breakdown of all in-house tables, chairs, linens, and decor is ours. You leave with your things and nothing else to do.

Wedding add-ons
Security is required for weddings and is booked through us. See Services for rates.
Weddings that
already happened.
I wanted something intimate and Mata Hari absolutely delivered. Plenty of space to party but also such a cozy feel.
The questions couples
actually ask.
Yes, and it is the most common way couples book us. Up to 80 when the day holds both a ceremony and a reception, or up to 200 for a ceremony only or a reception only. The ceremonial add-on is $1,000 and covers the changeover from ceremony layout into reception layout.
Cocktail hour does the work. Guests move into the Lounge and bar area while a 65-foot draped divider closes off the Main Banquet. Our team strikes the ceremony chairs and sets the reception behind it, then the curtain opens.
It takes roughly forty minutes, which is why we build a full cocktail hour into every wedding timeline.
Both. Outside catering is welcome for a $200 fee, or you can use one of our preferred caterers. Mata Hari House is BYOB, provided you have a TABC certified bartender, which we can arrange in-house.
It is one of the few genuinely flexible arrangements in the Design District, and it usually saves couples more than the fee costs.
There is a client room adjacent to the prep kitchen, and the Dining Room can be closed off for hair, makeup, and photographs before doors. We are not a full bridal suite, so if you need all day with a large party, tell us early and we will plan the timing around it.
A full-day rental, noon to midnight, is $5,000 on Friday or Saturday, with additional hours at $400 each. Sunday full day is $4,000. That covers the venue, the furniture, the floor plan, and your Day-of Venue Manager. Add-ons are listed above.
Smaller weekday weddings are possible. Ask us.
Yes. Security is required for weddings, and for any event over 50 guests. It is booked through the venue so it is one invoice and one point of contact, rather than another vendor for you to chase.
Nothing changes. Everything, ceremony included, happens indoors. The patio and indoor-outdoor ceremony option is a bonus in good weather, never the plan we depend on.

Come and stand
in the room.
Floor plans only tell you so much. Walk the space, see where the curtain falls, and picture the whole day in order. Tours run Monday to Friday.
